The Prime Minister witnesses the signing of an agreement for a contract for the manufacture and supply of 1000 cargo railway wagons between the Ministry of Transport and the Arab Organization for Industrialization.

Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, today, in the presence of Eng. Kamel Al-Wazir, Minister of Transport, and Lieutenant General Abdel Moneim El-Terras, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, witnessed the signing ceremony of a contract agreement between the Ministry of Transport, represented by the Egyptian National Railways (ENR(, and the Arab Organization for Industrialization)AOI) , represented by SIMAF factory ; With the aim of strengthening cooperation between the railway and the SIMAF factory , and maximizing the local product in the field of the railway coaches  industry.
The agreement was signed by Eng. Ashraf Raslan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian National Railways, and Eng. Ismail Nagdy, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the SIMAF Factory.

Following the signature, the Minister of Transport indicated that this agreement includes SEMAF factory, affiliated to the Arab Organization for Industrialization, to manufacture and supply 1000 wagons of various types, including 300 open tipper wagons , 375  containers flat wagons , 150 tanker wagons, 125 box wagons, and 50 brake vans.

The Minister of Transport added that the supply of the entire contract for the number of 1000 vehicles will be completed within 4 years from the date of activation of the final contract, and the supply of all open tipper wagons  will be completed with 300 wagons  and all flat wagons  with a number of 375 wagons  within 24 months from the date of activating the final contract.
Eng. Kamel al-Wazir also indicated that this comes within the framework of the political leadership's directives to localize  the transportation industry in Egypt, and to develop the cargo transport sector in the railway by increasing the transport of goods via railways to preserve the road network and increase the railway's financial resources, pointing out that this deal will constitute a major quantum leap in this field, especially with the huge contracts concluded by the Ministry of Transport to manufacture and supply new locomotives , of which 110 new locomotives  and 301 passenger coaches  have arrived so far, concurrently. With the development and modernization of signaling systems on railways, and the renewal of rails and railway infrastructure.
 Lieutenant General Abdel Moneim El-Terras explained that this contract is a continuation of the existing partnership between the railway and the SIMAF factory in many large and important projects, on top of which is the project of supplying 140 flat wagons , which has been completed, as well as the project of developing the internal and external appearance of 200 coaches . The development of 115 coaches was completed, in addition to a project to manufacture and supply 100 power coaches, and a project to manufacture and supply 75 cereal wagons.
